This stump is no longer ... it was grounded out. But a friend took this picture of the stump which was down the road from her. Hurricane Ike fell the tree, but I love what it left behind. I wish the people hadn't ground it out. It's just awesome to look at.
So, I am going to start on the Autumn Pantry challenge from Brooke's yahoo group... I just love her freebies. I am going to do mine on a showcase towel so that it can be hung in my kitchen as the seasons come and go. It will never be used since I know that I will be using beads and other speciality threads on it. But I am excited about starting it -- always so much fun and thought goes into each stitch. How will you be doing your Autumn Pantry? ... a towel? door hanger?scissor fob? I am curious how others will finish it. Right now I am stitching some peacocks on a doily. I found the free chart at www.birdcrossstitch.com and when I finish it, I will post a picture for you to enjoy.
Well, it's late and I have a full day of things to do tomorrow. So have a great day!!
Keep Stitching!

WOW, it is too bad they ground out the stump. I love the heart shape of the stump. It was saying that it was raised with love.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!! I watched a picture of a heart shaped potato... I bet Nature is sending us a message!
ReplyDeleteAWWW!!!! My picture!
ReplyDeleteHow super cool of you to blog about it!
I was very upset when I past by and they had ground it out, I know I would have left it for EVER!!! Just to show Mother Nature that even out of the worst she dishes out there is beauty left behind!
Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
