Big Projects Update

Well, it's time for an update on my big projects...

last time you saw "Lady of Summer" you couldn't really see too much...

Here is this week's picture... I am working on the shading of the dress ruffles.

It's a lot harder than you think -- believe me!!

And here's the Symmetry project (canvaswork) that I am currently stitching.

This is my latest work done on it--
I have some triangluar backstitching to do. But becuz I am uncertain of the stitch direction, it's been put on hold. I know that it's probably something very easy, but I don't want to screw it up. So I will wait till I can get with Sue (my mentor) and stitch it correctly.

I also had some time (imagine that) and stitched 2 ornies for the Ornie SAL that I am a part of. I TRIED to do punchneedle today and OMG!! I got fed up really fast with it. I got a Dimensions kit of a Christmas tree that could be turned into a pin or an ornie, real simple. Well my punchneedle tool kept making HUGE holes in the fabric and the thread wasn't looping right. I got fed up with it and just stitching it in satin stitches instead. It's really cute and I even finished it into an ornie this evening. I made cording with the leftover threads - which there was plenty. So it was a productive day all around.
Hope that you are having a great week -- it's almost over!!
Keep Stitching,
Cameo
